As a massage therapist, Reiki Master Teacher, and certified Forrest Yoga teacher, I am honored and humbled to serve as a facilitator and witness of my clients’ and students’ healing processes. I believe that embodiment is one of the greatest gifts of bodywork, as it leads to healing at our deepest – and often most neglected – levels.

My Education and Experience
I graduated valedictorian in 2012 from the Soma Institute National School of Clinical Massage Therapy, the leading massage school in Chicago and the only school in the U.S. to offer a diploma in clinical massage therapy. I am also a Holy Fire III Karuna Reiki Master Teacher. Reiki is a powerful energy-based holistic healing system that relieves stress and boosts the immune system; it also helps to alleviate pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD and other emotional and physical ailments.
I am a co-founder of the Midwest Reiki Community, as well as an active partner with The Breathe Network, which connects survivors of sexual violence to trauma-informed, sliding-scale, holistic healing arts practitioners.
I have provided massage and Reiki at a number of events and venues, including the Chicago Marathon, the AIDS Ride, the Mental Health America of Illinois’ Mental Health & Wellness Fair, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and the Maria Shelter for homeless women and children.
Prior to studying massage and Reiki, I worked for over a decade in community-based research with underserved communities, at the University of Chicago School of Social Services Administration and with Harvard School of Public Health faculty. Prior to that I served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic from 2003 to 2005. I hold a B.A. in Organizational Studies and a Master of Public Health, both from the University of Michigan. I am also an avid beach volleyball player, dedicated student of Forrest yoga, aspiring writer and former marathoner and triathlete. Reiki, yoga and meditation are my medication.

Massage/Reiki/Combo Sessions by Molly Coeling
What Clients Are Saying
As a runner,… Molly has helped me tremendously. However, it wasn’t until a couple of months ago that I had the privilege to have a Reiki session with Molly. If you haven’t had that experience yet, you owe it to yourself. It can be really transformative... Molly is a very talented Reiki practitioner who is wholeheartedly dedicated to practice it as a way to benefit people.
“ I met Molly when I was searching for a means of being able to deal better with my illness. Receiving Reiki gave me a sort of inner peace, which made me interested in learning Reiki myself. Since then, I have been convinced that the initiation(s) and practicing Reiki have helped me in so many ways, including healing after my second operation so much faster than after the first one. It was good to be able to share with Molly my experiences when practicing Reiki myself. Molly stresses that Reiki is not a religion, but it has brought me closer to God again.”
“ I was always a Reiki sceptic but these last few months with Molly have turned out to be a wonderful journey of self-discovery, balance, and well being. Frankly, I thought Reiki was some phony substitute for therapy or exercise but I kept noticing how often I thought of myself and life in terms of energy. I regularly said phrases like "I'm drained" or "I really like their energy". I challenged myself to try out energy healing since, without intending to, I thought in terms of it. I have found Reiki with Molly Coeling refreshing. She acknowledged my concerns and welcomed me to really open myself to the experience. Since Molly is trained in all matter of touch healing, the fact that she can provide a combination is even better- why go anywhere else?! I couldn't imagine getting Reiki from anyone but Molly.”
“ I have been seeing Molly for nearly two years. I spend a lot of time in front of a computer and have formed postural habits that cause back & neck pain and headaches. She really listens and asks questions in order to understand the pain I am experiencing. Unfailingly, Molly works out all of my knots and aches and I always leave her office feeling great. She is a gifted healer and I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
“ Molly is incredibly good at figuring out where your pain is coming from and addressing it through massage. I left an hour and a half appointment feeling like I had been completely recharged. I cannot wait to go back. I completely recommend Molly and her professional service! (Her office is also really nice!)”
“ The facility and it's location are perfect. Molly is truly a gifted healer. I chose both massage and Reiki Energy healing and felt refreshed and rejuvenated afterwards. I also gave a birthday gift of massage and Reiki to my sister. She also reported amazing results. If you get a chance, head to Lincoln Square - you won't be sorry.”
“ Molly is WONDERFUL! Sitting at a desk, working long, long hours=MESSED UP BODY. Molly always knows just where I need help and fixes the issues with her magic! An hour with her is great, but 90 minutes is FABULOUS. Just. Do. It. You won't regret it!”
“ After trying out about 10 massage therapists in the city I was fortunate enough to schedule a massage with Molly. Thanks to her I can continue to play in multiple sports leagues while logging 50 miles per week for marathon training, all with minimal pain. I don’t think my body would survive the beating it takes without her help.”
5-Time Marathoner, Old Skool Baller and Flag Football Ringer
“ I have struggled with plantar fasciitis for several years. Massage therapy, and particularly trigger point, has helped, but it always left me too sore to run for several days after treatment. Then, I saw Molly. She released trigger points not just in my foot and calf, but throughout my upper leg and lower back, which gave me much more–and longer lasting–relief than I had experienced with previous treatments. Best of all, Molly’s technique leaves me rejuvenated rather than achy, so I can be out on the path again the next day. Molly is now a regular, and important, part of my training plan.”
“ I was introduced to Molly after a 5k race. I was having pain that turned out to be achilles tendonitis—burning, pinching, discomfort up the back of my leg and the bottom of my foot. I have been getting massages from Molly for several months now and I’m so happy that I am! She was thorough in finding out history and my current concerns. She’s also happy to share knowledge about body mechanics, what could be affecting how I feel after and during a run, and stretches I can use between massages. I’m pleased to report my achilles is in much better shape due in large part to the wonderful care Molly provides. My shoulder fatigue and upper back soreness as a result of a computer-focused job have also improved as well!”
5k-er and Pilates Enthusiast
“ Molly did a fantastic job not only addressing my tightness and muscular aches but also making me comfortable and letting me know what she was doing. As a runner and athlete herself, she was perfectly in tune with my endurance activities and how they affect my body. I like to know what my massage therapist is feeling and doing, and Molly communicated what she was doing – and why – very clearly. She was able to find and release pressure points I didn’t even know were there! After the massage, I felt taller, looser and more relaxed than I had in months. I highly recommend Molly!”
Running Coach and Marathoner
“ Molly is an incredibly compassionate, wise, intuitive and curious woman and is rapidly developing her healing gifts. I have been fortunate to receive both massage and Reiki from her on several occasions, and each time it has been a wonderful experience. As a long-term practitioner myself, I know a lot of people who have been offering these services for many years, and I can recommend Molly enthusiastically. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment.”
Reiki Master & Teacher, Licensed Massage Therapist
“ Molly has given me relaxation and relief with both massage and Reiki. Her personal experience with athletics and running combined with her formal training makes her pinpointing of my trigger points effortless. Best massage and Reiki I have ever received.”
Runner, Personal Trainer, and Reiki Practitioner
“ This has been the best massage treatment I have experienced. I appreciate being educated on my ‘trouble spots’ without sacrificing my ability to relax. Typically, I walk into a session with Molly thinking my trouble spot is one thing, but each time I learn that my pain is related to other areas. This education helps me feel empowered to address those issues either through foam rolling, strength training, or stretching. I feel that this helps me with preventing future injuries. As someone who receives massages about 3 to 4 times a year, I think Molly’s approach separates her from other therapists.”
Runner, Yogi, and Weekend Warrior
“ A week before my marathon I got into an accident and could barely move my neck. Molly magically helped increase the range of motion in my neck while also reducing the muscle tightness and tenderness. I ran the marathon without a problem, thanks to the magical work of Molly. Thank you, Molly!”
